“Did I ever get told to lose weight? No, I would’ve resisted that very heavily. I feel sorry for any producer who tries to ask me to lose weight. Obviously, if it really is important to the role, and the story and the character, then of course. I would definitely consider it. But if it’s for superficial purposes, then they can go screw themselves.”—Emma Watson (via tippingtimeless)
In this movie we’ve got just a hint of something going on with you and Hermione? What do you think of the storyline? Rupert Grint: I don’t know - I’m not really looking forward to doing that! But yeah… I hope it doesn’t happen. I hope Ron gets killed off before they actually do something.
This + the quote about how it would’ve been less awkward to Kiss Dan than Emma?
Wake Up and Dance With Me - The Remus Lupins (lol sorry guys, I’m on a wrock kick right now hahaha)
I really can’t help but find this song adorable. I mean, when it starts off, it’s a rather heavy beat, but the chorus kind of just pulls you in & you can’t help but want to dance along to it. I honestly can imagine Tonks doing that at a concert. And then the bridge… I just can’t even. I honestly think that Remus & Tonks, that couple, is just so completely adorable. Yes, they are my HP OTP, back off, lol. I mean, this song is pretty much about their developing relationship. Favorite lines from the song: Well, I met you at the show / as you danced in the front row, / your little up-turned nose / and your fast-fading freckles were beautiful / wouldn’t want you to change that for me. / You were singing right along, / I can still hear the song / as it echoed through the night. / If I ever lose my faith in you, / you better call the police.
Once again, I can’t stress enough how much I love Alex Carpenter’s ability to write in Remus’s perspective. Right after those lines, there’s this little part (I’ve never loved like you before. I’ll never love like you again. I take my humble werewolf heart and place it in your hands.), I mean, it just feels like it’s something that Remus would say about his relationship with Tonks & his past relationships (I seriously feel like his teenage love was Lily Evans, but being the loyal friend he was, he wouldn’t do anything about it). Whatever he may have felt for Lily was nothing compared to what he feels for Tonks & he gives his heart to her completely (despite certain actions he takes in the book… I swear, I’ve never wanted to slap my favorite character so hard in my life. Oh Remus…).
Trufax: whenever I listen to this in my car, I can’t help but sing along wholeheartedly because it’s Remus & Tonks and they’re just so incredibly cute. =P
She gave a very good talk about Harry Potter and the Fandom and “The Flaw in the Plan” and her experiences in the fandom. It was probably about an hour-ish, followed by half an hour-ish of Q-and-A, followed by a book signing.
I got an awesome Dark Mark Tattoo, and I finally bought her book/got it signed =) When I went to get my book signed, she identified me as “camera-girl” because I filmed 70+ minutes of it before my camera gave out (I was also directly in front of the podium, so it was actually good footage), and she told me I’m not allowed to put the footage on YouTube. Whoops. =P I don’t regret filming it though, because I still have it & I can show it to friends & stuff.
One of the most amusing parts was that this all took place at Catholic University (which is a short metro-ride away from College Park), which caused a lot of comments along the lines of “I need to stop say these things at Catholic University! Nobody’s going to Hell!”
The Q-and-A was pretty good. People were kinda shy about questions at first, but then most of the questions (with a few notable exceptions) were intelligent and interesting. And she provided thoughtful, intelligent answers (plus some Matt Lewis fangirling. I approve). I asked 2 questions: What scene from the books were you most disappointed to not see in the movies? She said that she was disappointed that there was no Peeves in the movies, partially because Peeves is just such a great character, who would’ve added some much-needed lightness to the movies, and partially because of a few specific lines in Deathly Hallows. Particularly Ron’s response to Peeves’s song after the Battle is over. -and- What’s the most surprising thing to come out of the fandom? She said that to her, A Very Potter Musical was the most unexpected, and she told the story of how she was one of the first people who didn’t see it live to see it because Steph Anderson sent her the DVD before it went up on YouTube, and how they watched it while they were on tour and they were all singing Going Back on the road the next day.
There are lots more things I could say, but this post is long enough already, so I’ll just say that the night was Totally Awesome. =)
“I still love Harry Potter. Deeply and profoundly. I will read these books to my son when he’s old enough not to be terrified of the dementors. And I will absolutely be crammed into my Gryffindor shirt, the very first in line to see Deathly Hallows, Part 2, which is guaranteed to make me cry at the end just as the book did.”—Damon Lindelof, on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part I (via fuckyeahdarlton)
20.) Do you wear glasses? If so, what are they for?
Yeah, I’ve worn glasses since I was 9 (and contacts since I was 14). I’m nearly blind without them. For serious, my prescription’s like -6.25. I can’t see a thing without getting really fucking close to it without my glasses.
[Also: this is my 1000th post…I kinda wish my 1000th had been something a bit more quality than this. lol]
