One of the most entertaining parts of being really busy while an awards show is on?
Knowing I’ll eventually watch the entire night (The red carpet, the pre-show, the angst over who won and who lost and who made a fool of themselves during their acceptance speech, the interviews, the after-parties, etc) happen in reverse when I catch up on tumblr
Rules: It’s harder than it looks! Copy, erase my answers and enter yours. Use the first letter of your name to answer each of the following questions. They have to be real…nothing made up! If the person before you had the same first initial, you must use different answers. You cannot use any word twice and you can’t use your name for the boy/girl name question.
I finished watching, and I somehow knew right away that the “True to Your Heart” song was 98 degrees, even though I barely listened to them when they were actually popular.
And then Christina Aguilara’s version of “My Reflection” came on, and I started jamming out & singing along because I somehow still know all the words…I freaking loved that song back when it first came out.
And then I had this really vivid memory of hearing that song on the radio in the grocery store when I was like 8. It was in the dairy section of Safeway. That’s how clear this memory was. Weird.
The bus driver played Mumford & Sons the whole ride back to my apartment.
It was like the first time I’ve ever had a bus driver play decent music. Usually they play utter crap, or nothing at all.
I wasn’t feeling well, I have an exam I’ve barely studied for tomorrow, a meeting that I’m totally unprepared for, my dinner isn’t agreeing with my stomach, and to top it all off, its raining.
But as soon as I heard a song I recognized, and realized what it was, I felt so much better.
When you get off of the bus, you usually say “Thank you” to the bus driver; its just polite. Tonight, I couldn’t help but say “Thank you for playing good music.”
…and now, off to pandora for some more calming study music!
According to ABC Networks, plans have been set to launch an American version of Misfits, a popular British comedy-drama series involving a group of young offenders forced to work in a community service program, where they attain supernatural powers after a strange electrical storm. The cast of the now finalized Hannah Montana series have been chosen to portray two all-new characters, and have now finished filming the pilot episode. Emily Osment will play Kelly, a mind-reader, while Jason Earles has been cast as Nathan, the smart-alec of the group who has yet to discover his power. “We are very excited to be part of this lovely show with such cool characters,” Emily Osment tells us in an exclusive interview. The Misfits is expected to air on primetime this fall on ABC.
What? That’s just…no. Just no. My brain cannot even process this information right now. Just…why? Seriously, WHY?
I mean, I think we’ve already established that if anyone from Disney is going to be Nathan, it should be Gordo.
not even gonna lie. i thought about this yesterday.
I have a few IRL friends here…I suppose they would tell you all…
I don’t keep my meatspace and cyberspace separate, so they’d probably find out through Facebook.
I wonder this all the time.
I think this about other people. Like, if one of my online friends hasn’t talked to me for awhile/hasn’t been posting on their usual sites, I get really paranoid. Like, “Shit, what if something happened to her and I just don’t know it? How would I know?" And then I obsessively stalk their facebook until they post something & I’m reassured that they’ve just been busy.
